For most of her adult life, Kimberly Joy has been ministering the Gospel of Jesus Christ through teaching, preaching and acting in church and community plays. Her acting projects include the Gospel stage plays At the Cross, I Loved You On Purpose, The Best Gift Ever, Her Heart’s Desire, Who Told You?, What a Woman Wants, Will a Man Rob God?, Should Have Been a Better Man, Nothing But Da Dawg in Me, After You’ve Tried Everything…Try God, and Someone to Love Me. She is also featured in the independent films Broken Pieces and A Lesson Learned.

In addition to speaking and acting, Kimberly writes blog posts, skits, and plays. Currently, she is performing her one-woman show entitled I’m NOT My Mama! Soon, she will be adding books to her writing collection. Kimberly edits and writes blog posts and books for others, including serving as one of the editors for the autobiography God Knows the Way That I Take written by Pearlie I. Ealey-Forrest, which can be found on amazon.com. Furthermore, Kimberly writes for her own personal blog The Kimberly Joy Blog (www.thekimberlyjoy.com), which was launched on May 30, 2016, with her first article “I Am a Writer.” 

Kimberly is the host of her own radio show The Kimberly Joy Show, which airs Fridays at 4:15 PM and Saturdays at 6:00 PM on Cincinnati’s Inspiration 1050 AM and 103.1 FM WGRI or www.inspiration1050.com. Beginning in November 2016, Kimberly was inspired to create her own show after serving as a recurring guest on her mother’s radio show. Her mother First Lady Pastor Gerri Banks is host of Power and Faith Today on the same station. 

Whether it be acting, speaking or writing, Kimberly Joy desires to use every platform God has given her to share the Good News of Jesus Christ, spread the love of God and provide spiritual inspiration to everyone she reaches.

A native of Cincinnati, Ohio, Kimberly holds a bachelor’s degree in English Education from Miami University (Ohio) and a master’s degree in School Counseling from the University of Cincinnati.
